Whyms v. Grays Harbor Transit

Case type:  Motor Vehicle Accident, Personal Injury, Wrongful Death
Award:  $756,000 Cumulative Settlement
Attorneys:  Jack Connelly

Case Summary

Ralph Whyms, age 18, and his stepbrother, Rusty Johnson, age 16, were traveling to school when they lost control of their vehicle on an icy bridge. Defendant Grays Harbor Transit Authority’s bus came over a hill in the opposite direction and was unable to stop in time, striking Ralph and Rusty’s vehicle, resulting in Rusty's death.

The bridge should have been sanded in such hazardous conditions, allowing the bus to react to the out of control vehicle.
